Camaron Relyeno
Ingredients:
1lb whole large prawns
1/2c cream
3tbsp garlic, chopped
2slices white bread, chopped
1/2c onion, chopped
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4c spring onions, chopped
1/2c japanese bread crumbs
1/2c cheddar cheese, shredded
3tbsp cooking oil
Procedure
- using a scissor, gently cut the shell of the prawns from the top, leaving the head and tail on without breaking the shell.
- gently remove the meat of the prawns, without breaking the head. Set the shell aside and chop prawn meat.
- heat oil in a pan and saute garlic and onions. Add chopped prawn meat and saute until it turns pink.
- in a bowl, combine prawn mixture, white bread, cream and spring onions. Mix and set aside.
- stuff the prawn shell with the mixture and lay them on a baking tray.
- top stuffed prawns with japanese bread crumbs, cheese and pinch of cayenne pepper.
- bake in a 300F preheated oven until cheese has melted.
- serve hot.
